Greetings from Heimtextil 2024

We were thrilled to present our new collection of bedding at Heimtextil in Frankfurt.

Wendre collection is all about high durable premium bedding produced in Europe, in our own state of the art manufacturing facilities, with the best quality, sustainable and certified materials. Our top-of-the-line range includes synthetic duvets and pillows, foam and latex pillows, down and feather duvets and pillows as well as top mattresses/toppers and box spring beds. Our Greenline pillows and duvets are highly sustainable due to the fact they are made of biodegradable materials. In our PRO portfolio, we offer a wide range of products for the professional and contract sectors, such as hotels, laundries, health care facilities and ships. In addition, we introduces at Heimtextil the moisture-regulating bedding concept including luxury continental bed, sheets, pillows and duvets that also keep absolute humidity below 50%, preventing the formation of bacteria.

Wendre has a zero-waste philosophy that leads our daily activities, and our ambition is to become 100% circular. Sustainability and eco-friendliness are a part of our brand DNA, and in design and construction of the Heimtextil fair stand we took this into consideration, Wendre stand C31 at hall 11, was carbon neutral with carbon emissions of 0g.

Estonia’s production unit runs on green power

Our Lina production unit warehouse in Pärnu, Estonia fully supplies itself with energy – 1065 MW/h produced by the 5940 m² solar roof park covers the needs of the storage. The energy consumption is low due to the state-of-the-art storage facility – it uses on-demand lighting and automated operators. The heating losses are minimized.

Our goal is to become 100% sustainable, and we already do a lot. Our Lina unit warehouse is a great example of our work towards a greener future. We also reuse 93% of our production offcuts and our Lyocell REFIBRATM technology utilizes fashion industry cotton offcuts by mixing them together with wood pulp. That produce Lyocell fibres to our products. We also make sure that our partners keep their word on sustainability, as well as constantly reassessing our own commitments on how to become greener.

Oeko-Tex 100 Certificate for Wendre’s beds and mattresses

The test is conducted by independent OEKO-TEX® partner institutes on the basis of extensive OEKO-TEX® criteria catalog. Beds manufactured by Wendre are safe to use and suitable also for the sensitive sleepers.

I’m very happy with this transaction and that me and my family have been able to find a good strong and solid owner for Geska Bettwarenfabrik. I can’t wait to get going and now further develop the business in the years to come together with the great and innovative team at Wendre, comments Ms. Knell.
